And I humbly believe that if they published one current as of 5.2.4,
that'd cover a good percentage of the new 5.0+ features until 6.0.?fc??
is released and relatively stable. Maybe they could publish one of
those "pocket" guides? Or maybe a book on OOP programming specifically
for RB users. :)

This may be a good start, but the word I got at from the O'Reilly
booth at WWDC was that the developer-oriented books were not doing
too well and a future release was not even being considered at that
time.
Maybe a better option for an update would be for Matt to get in touch
with a different publisher after requesting that O'Reilly either
support the update or relinquish the text to another publisher that
is interested in producing it.
Even then, I doubt it is the best course of action at this time.
REALbasic is changing at such a tremendous rate that writing a book
would be out of date before it was published. Matt's earlier books are
still good as 75% of its information is still applicable and provides
a good middle point for new users.
RB Developer Magazine is a Bi-monthly publication that has most of the
most recent information and is supported with articles from Matt and
many others. It also has the advantage of being much more up to date
than any book could possibly be. I'm offering this info on my own as I
feel it is the best way to pass information and not because of
anything other than my own enjoyment of the magazine.
Cheers,
Terry
