Would output from Ethereal help to figure this out? It shows the
packets, the data in them. It also shows three different protocols
being used...TCP, ICMP and SSDP.
I'm not sure SSDP is even part of this because it's communication
between my router and an IP address of (239.255.255.250) that isn't
part of anything here that I am aware of.
Even if you only have source code for half of this (either the server
or a client that works) that would be a big step up
At this point you're trying to reverse engineer a protocol with no
information and THAT is a huge job ....
