Well it doesn't, unless it's an image format that is imported via Quicktime.
Oh wow, I just read the Lang.Ref on Backdrop. That suxx. My images
have to be BMP or PICT. Both?
I'm not sure what you're saying here. Your images can be anything,
as long as it's something that can be loaded. BMP is the native
format on Windows and Linux; on the Mac, it really doesn't matter,
since all Macs have QuickTime and QuickTime can read just about
anything. I typically use JPEG for images that can use lossy
compression, and PNG for others. Or if I want to run on Windows
without QuickTime, I use BMP.
Do you have to include images in both formats in a project?
No, if you include an image in your project, then it literally does
not matter what format it is. Assuming you can see it in your
project at all, REALbasic will convert it as needed when it compiles
your project. The comments above only apply to
FolderItem.OpenAsPicture.
