Oh wow, I just read the Lang.Ref on Backdrop. That suxx. My images have to be BMP or PICT. Both?

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Your images can be anything, as long as it's something that can be loaded. BMP is the native format on Windows and Linux; on the Mac, it really doesn't matter, since all Macs have QuickTime and QuickTime can read just about anything.

Ahem – this is only true of OS X. It's easy to remove QuickTime from Mac OS 9 and earlier.
