John, that sounds good.

A very simple eBay API is REST. But this is only acceptable for
doing search operation. Furthermore, I didn't figured out, how
to test it - REST is only available on production systems, not
in the sandbax.

I'm not too intimate with SOAP, thus it isn't a speed start or me.
eBay documents explain calls based on C# or Java. I can read this,
but I can't see immediatly, what the Java API really does under
the hood.

I'd propose to have an iChat tomorrow. I'm going to send you
an invitation. OK?

I preferred to use SOAP directly, but I currently doesn't have enough
insight how to set properties.
