For a little bit more verbosity...
I've tried both the PostgreSQL plugin and pgSQL4RB. pgSQL4RB is a
native RB-based solution that you can purchase for a nominal fee for
commercial use; it's an encrypted project item, though, not open
source.
The PostgreSQL plugin worked with PostgreSQL 8.0 beta when I tried it.
However, the PostgreSQL plugin is not multi-threaded, so every query
and connection you issue locks up the GUI. I've had much more luck with
pgSQL4RB, which has an API that is quite obtuse but works much better
asynchronously--and it supports native PostgreSQL-only features better.
