I think William may have nailed it

I mean perhaps put the Registrator application in his plugin directory which
would cause REALbasic to use a plugin from the Registrator Application, and
naturally it would not have a Linux plugin in it.

The solution of course would be to not put the Registrator Application in
the Plugin directory (or any application for that mater).

There was a similar problem in the past where some users where putting RB
Plugin Plunger inside their plugin directory.

Perhaps REALbasic should also prevent this kind of thing as this seems to
come up over and over again. That is to not load up plugins if the type code
indicates a application.
