But not always. In late 1998, just months after we shipped REALbasic
1.0, Real Networks, the makers of Real Player, wrote us a letter
indicating that they felt our company and product names would cause
confusion in the marketplace and they demanded that we change both
names. I contacted our attorney and $600 later, he sent them a letter
telling them that they had no case. We never heard from them again.
