Christian,
I think that a lot of people find using your plugins intimidating
because it is difficult to decipher which plugin does what from your web
site. 8000 functions is a little bit overwhelming and in reality these
are spread out over a number of plugins. I find how other sites list
their plugins individually with links to a list of that particular
plugin's functions and methods much easier to determine what I need to
get the job done. I know you are busy but if you would overhaul your
site to make it easier to figure out which plugin does what I think a
lot more people would be using them and purchasing licenses.
Also, something that would be really cool would be to do something like
Charles Yeomans does on his site. His page "How do I...?" has a list of
things people are interested in doing and the links take you to a
section to solve the problem. For your plugins this would be invaluable.
In the case of what Phillip was asking, and that your MBS plugin would
solve, a link like "...suppress the finder from recognizing blank CDs
inserted for a CD burning application?" would tell you which plugin and
a brief generic example of usage.
I am not complaining about your work. You do a phenomenal job at
providing the RB community with solutions that are available nowhere
else and you are always ready to chime in on the lists to provide a
quick solution using your plugins. Many thanks for all your efforts.
My 2 cents
