H-ListBox behaving badly

Has anyone else seen some goofy behavior from H-ListBoxes? In particular,
alignment issues appear as well as Folders appearing instead of Rows. For
an example, see bug report 'eyrtagch' and the sample project to show some
bad behaviors:
