How about his idea:

- Users add new pairs or add new translation for existing ones
- A client app might retrieve translations
Once this infrastructure is up and running, a localization tool
might be set up, which localizes a certain part of project string
resources.
Might this be useful or far too optimistic?
Sounds like a very good idea. If you did it, I'd like to see it not
limited to RB, though. That'll even benefit the RB crowd, by giving
more people translating stuff.
