How is it possible that you have B7 and I have B2 ?
The download indeed says something with B7, but the splash screen shows
Beta 2.
Are you a beta tester or in some sort of a program ?
I'm now running on Mac but I'm looking to switch to Linux desktops
completely. I can't switch until I have a decent development
environment.
Reason I'm switching is that KDE has far better integration with my
Linux servers that OSX.
Plus, the only programs I seem to run on my Mac are open source
programs.
OpenOffice for the Mac is nowhere (not even with NeoOffice) whereas
Novell's version 2 is very much the way I want it to be on Suse 9.3.
Also, for groupware, I'm better off with Linux then with Mac.
Anyways .... I'm waiting for a better release.

I've been using the beta now for 2 hours, and I must say .... my
first opinion was very wrong.
This version is far from stable and far from usable. I had high
hopes for this version and it installed flawlessly.
It even started much faster and seemed so good. Boy was I wrong.
Simple tasks are not working and the interface slows down after a
while. It really started slowing down when I got a couple of
"crashes".
I can't see what went wrong because RB just vanished ... without any
notice. It happened when I wanted to build my app.
Sorry Realsoftware, but you do have a couple of betas to go before
release.
Here are some bugs I found.
1) The # sign can't be introduced in the properties window (for
captions ...). You need to copy paste it because when you click
ALT-GR, it works like a ENTER
2) You can't use backspace when mistyping something in the value of a
constant.
3) Window.Maximize doesn't do anything
4) Can't build a simple app (one menu, 2 screens, 3 lines of code in
the open event, some constants for my menu). See the vanishing thing
described.
If you are looking for Beta testers, I'm always willing to do so.
But calling this Beta2 is not what I call beta.
This is more like an Alfa test.

Yeah B2 isnt very good, Im testing B7 and can say that it runs a hell
of alot better on Suse 9.3 than B2 did. Even compiles and runs pretty
reasonable. Be patient.
