Beta means the functionality is defined and unlikely to change.
Beta means there are very likely bugs.
REAl has undertaken a HUGE project to move the IDE to being written in REALbasic AND make it work on all 3 platforms (Mac, Windows, and Linux) Bugs are to be expected regardless of whether they should have been caught already or not.
They exist.

If you don't like the bugs then you might want to wait for an FC release.

And even then there will be bugs. In a final release there still will be bugs.

This is the "Never-ending Story" of Software development. :)
