VB Converter Error

When I started the VB to RB Converter on my Windows XP PC, the monitor began 
to "glitch" up and repeatedly flash and refresh the screen. Normally you are 
not able to see the monitor refresh and when this happened, it was very 
obvious. Everything froze up and the screen continued flashing. I was not 
able to open up the task manager to end the process so I was forced to hold 
down the power button and shut off the PC. Does anybody know what the hell 
this is about? Has anyone else experienced this problem before???
