Autocomplete and Extends

I've noticed that methods added with Extends do not show up in Autocomplete. I 
looked at the bug database and found that it had already been reported:

AutoComplete does not recognize the Extends keyword functions
Report Reference ID:
lfalretu
2 "votes"

But it is marked "closed" with no explanation. anyone know why? Does this mean 
it has been fixed or that they don't consider it a bug?
