Hi Geoff, the list,
there are also some other techniques to train people:
Make a pause after 1h30mn. Past 90 minutes, people start thinking to anything
else / stop earing you (the trainer).
[No, I said "anything else", I didn't talk to cigarette or beer ! ;)]
Follow the 1, 3, 7 (I think) rule.
Explain things on day 1, get back to it (faster, really faster) on day 3 and on
day 7 (I think that is on day 7, but I am not sure. Someone ?) "On day 1 and day
3 we saw that and this".
[Yes, this is to "fix in the memory" the learned stuff. Also, on occasion, it
may happens that someone who wasn't following on the first occasion discover it
on the second - on the third ? - occasion and appreciate it...]
etc.
HTH,
Emile

I also discovered that personal searches were better stored in my memory (when
it was working) that getting an answer from someone. This is why I always start
a quest and only ask this list when I do not know where to search next.
