Yes. It is an issue with using WebCore from a Carbon app; the
combination of REALbasic's Mac OS 9 heritage and WebCore's Cocoa
background makes for quirky behavior.
Rest assured that REAL is probably aware of the problem, and they're
slowly improving the situation.
