Actually, I'd settle for dividing the list of built-in controls into two groups since it's getting rather long. Core UI controls and Extended controls. Put the static text, edit field, checkbox, radio button, list, button, and group controls at the top.

This is just like in the Finder [Linux, Windows: like in an OS list of file ?], when you press a letter, the first file whose name starts by that letter is selected (if you go further, instead of getting RadioButton, I will type Rect and get Rectangle...).
