It seems that in order to have a cheap fly from Europe, departure must be on Saturday (so, what you save on the fly must be spent with the hotel). So far the best offer I have found is from aa.com ($549 leaving Saturday going home Friday Mar 3 from Milan).

Anyone has found something better?

Not that I'm going: last time I looked at the budget, it reached
2,500$... Not this year!
Wonder how many Europeans are going, and what their budget is...

I booked up before deciding to quit my job, I don't regret it but I probably wouldn't be going now if I'd waited to book purely because of the money:

REAL World Pass: £289.81
Flights and first night's stay (Excl VAT): £462.93
Hotel (expected): £448.89

Total so far: £1,201.63 == $2,125 approx

And I haven't eaten, drunk or transfered to/from airport yet!

I'm there for a week (arrive previous Friday night), so intent to see a bit of Austin at the weekend and just after the event, hence I'm paying a little more for the hotel than some.
