If you have bought Microsoft Word or Office, then you have access to a huge set of online clip art, all searchable, and AFAICT, the license agreement on Microsoft's website says it's OK to use them in your programs, just as long as the program isn't a clip art program.

The EULA on the website is in fact more liberal than the one displayed by the Microsoft Clip Art utility that comes with Office.

All the clip art images are vector-based. I used GraphicConverter on the Mac to make them huge bitmaps, made them transparent and masked, then reduced them to the size I needed (with nice 8-bit masks). Simple, fast, and decent results.

Microsoft being reasonable... isn't that one of the signs of a apocalypse?
