Tom,

I send out quite a bit of software for myself and for other clients.
Typically, I use a DVD case ($.26), color laser print an insert ($.05)
Silkscreen disks (cheap at www.diskmakers.com). Shrinkwrap adds
another $.05 and I can put the shipping label/stamps, etc right on the
shrinkwrap. Looks great, cheap to do, easy to ship.

I have experience in various forms of printing, so this is not an issue for me.

As I thought about it more, I realized the cost would not be worth it. This will be a small product and I am only asking $12 a license, so a boxed version would not be a good idea. There is a reason why you don't find much quality $12 software at the Apple Store, for example.

Thanks for all the responses, however.

I have experience in the printing aspect of product packaging. What questions do you have?

The hard part is really the distribution, and the fact that you can underestimate the space required to store 1,000 - 10,000 packages.
