Do you have two NIC's in the Mac ?
There is a known issue with that sort of set up
What is an NIC? I used the debugger last week with this same computer and
there was no problem. Problems began after updating to 10.4.5. And I did one
thing with the network settings for airport but wifi internet works fine, and I
tried it on another machine.
