Self.Close being ignored

Totally ignore my previous message with this subject line. The  
problem lies in the fact that this old timer had a brain fart and  
forgot to exit the method to allow the Close event to do it's thing.  
Some days you just have to prove to yourself that your not as smart  
as you think.
