Sorry, although I did download and register 5.5, the first one I actually used was 2005, so I can't compare with something I have never used (other than a simple test). I also haven't used it on the Mac, only on Windows. Most complaints seem to come from people that used 5.5 on the Mac and aren't happy with the way 2005/2006 works. Again, I can't compare. I did start up 5.5 on my windows machine though and the main reason I didn't use it, was that it felt out of place on windows. The IDE just didn't act like what you expect from an IDE on windows. So I waited till 2005 was out tried again, now the IDE did feel at home on windows. I have been happy with RB ever since. I think my point is still valid though. Realbasic is not perfect, but compared to other products on the marketplace it is definitely of acceptable quality.
