The all-in-one-windowness.

I like many of the changes, but prefer lots of small windows to one
giant one, which is never the right size for what I just switched to.

Essentially, if there could be a configuration option so that
double-clicking on something opened it into a new window rather than a
new tab in the current window, that would cover about 99% of what I want.

There are a couple of follow-on changes, such as getting rid of the
window/code button so that I can have both open at once.  (Actually,
this button isn't even consistent with the current model: you should
be able to have both a window and the code for the window open in
separate tabs.)  The problem is that this button appears _ONLY_ on the
tool bar (shame, shame: not following good UI design here), so if you
don't display the toolbar, you can't change the setting.  And the
toolbar takes up a lot of screen real estate.
