| Thread-topic: | What is the FTDI USB Virtual Serial Port Maximum speed |
I have a FTDI MM232R and have loaded the FTDI virtual com port driver's into my OS X macintosh. I can see the "Virtual" serial port in REALbasic but, the maximum speed says 230,400. Now I know this is the maximum on a serial port but since this isn't really a serial port is it possible to run it faster since the USB port can in effect go up to 12,582,912 (actually this one goes up to 3m).
