Are you distributing your application as a DMG file? It sounds to me
like your end user could be mounting the DMG and using it from the
virtual volume it opens. And that of course would go away when he/she
reboots.

my application Mail Archiver X is disappearing after "installing" it
and doing a reboot, which he tried two times. Only the plist file is
remaining. I asked if he had searched for the application with
Spotlight and he said yes.
