Of course StringShape can itself be drawn rotated, but the quality of
the result will depend on the rendering architecture of the system
you're on.  On at least some systems, it simply draws itself into a
picture and rotates that (but without any scaling; you may wish to draw
larger and scale down to smooth out the jaggies).
