I don't know if TextWrangler can run the Text Factories that BBEdit provides.
http://www.oofile.com.au/files/REALbasic/CleanupRBXML.sit is a Text
Factory that cleans up the XML files to make them considerably easier
to compare. I have been using it for a couple of years now. It
basically removes all the editing context tags (from RB5.5.5) that
introduce the "noise" into the comparison.
Nowadays I would be more inclined to save them both into VCF format
and compare that. Again, using BBEdit works very nicely for me and
choosing VBScript as the language does a moderate job of code
colouring plus it identifies the functions in each file. I now have
rbbas setup as an extension to trigger that "language interpretation".
