On this particular computer, it doesn't seem to lock it any more than using
8192. It's actually very usable. When moving windows, I might notice very
slight increase in jerking movements. When typing, clicking, etc., I don't
notice any difference.
I haven't tested it on a less hearty Win machine, Mac or Linux.
RB5.5.5.5, WinXP, 2.2 GHz, 2G RAM
I'd still be interested in seeing your code as it sounds interesting and
could possibly be useful for other things.
I'm not too worried about this particular application because it's
essentially a server ap that will just sit and do its thing.
