Memorable or meaningful passwords can be a negative as they can be  
derived based on public information, etc.
But ones that are random strings of letters, numbers and punctuation  
will have their own issues (like people writing them down on stickies)

If you can use the keychain and that should help mitigate the problem.

I used to work at a place where all the system assigned passwords  
were quite good but so hard to remember that the monitor had a bunch  
of stickies on it with all the passwords written on them :)
