With the Rapid Release Model, books can (and do) become outdated very
quickly. So in a typical language, I would recommend online resources
and the language reference. But the LR is severely lacking, and web
resources are spread wide. Many people try to fill the void, but the
key there is *many* people. Personally, I feel we should have one
single website which contains all the resources we need - like
something hosted at REAL Software similar to Apple's developer site.

I don't think RB Developer would be a bad idea. I personally learned
with Matt Neuburg's book, and although the interface screenshots and
some things will be out of date, the language is mostly the same.

Any of the books you mention may be helpful, but do get one that's
fairly recent -- the Neuburg book, for example, is by now so out of
date that it spends a lot of time discussing problems or limitations
that no longer exist. Also, the IDE changed substantially in 2005; so
you may be best served by something written for RB2005 or later.

Absolutely -- it has articles for all levels, and I highly recommend it.

Also, don't be shy about asking your questions here; we're all happy to
help.

Best,
- Joe
