Hi All,

Never had a call to doube-click on my RB project before as I've always opened
it from the File menu.

Today I double-clicked on my project in explorer and a Windows installer window
popped up. I cancelled it in case I accidentally took some lsd without knowing
it, but then double-clicked the icon again. Same thing, so I let it run.

The Windows installed ran for several minutes before coming up with the error
that it cannot find RealBasic2007.msi.

What the hell?

I've checked the file type associations in the Default Program listing in
Control Panel and all seems to be above board so I looked in the registry just
in case. The following is listed under "REAL Software.REALbasic Projet> shell
>&Open >command" key...

Default = "C:\Program Files\REAL Software\REALbasic 2007r4\REALbasic 2007.exe"
"%1"

Which is expected. (type = REG_SZ)

Then...

command = yCSPZa*dS at s[,UF,R_-@>RS*z3TaT5@(5Sxi,{ETn "%1"

Type = REG_MULTI_SZ

Opened in text editor, the hex is:

hex(7):79,00,43,00,53,00,50,00,5a,00,61,00,2a,00,64,00,53,00,40,00,\
  73,00,5b,00,2c,00,55,00,46,00,2c,00,52,00,5f,00,2d,00,40,00,3e,00,52,00,53,\
  00,2a,00,7a,00,33,00,54,00,61,00,54,00,35,00,40,00,28,00,35,00,53,00,78,00,\
  69,00,2c,00,7b,00,45,00,54,00,6e,00,20,00,22,00,25,00,31,00,22,00,00,00,00,\
  00

This info is duplicated in the "REAL Software.REALbasic Projet> shell >Open
>command" key.

Is this right?

I have had no previous version of RB installed on this machine as this laptop
is only 3 weeks old.

RB2007r4 Pro, Windows Vista Business.

All the best,

Mark.
