Easy enough. Look for an application called Terminal, where it is will
vary some by GUI being used and distro, but I'd start looking in
Accessories, if you have that heading in your gnome or kde menu. Type cd
Desktop (assuming the application you're testing is on the desktop) and
hit enter, then type ./nameofapplication and hit enter again.
