That's a curious set of statements as I have quite a few Linux builds  
that work properly.  My test environment includes RHEL 5, SuSE 10.2,  
Fedora 5/6/7, Ubuntu 7.04 and 7.1, PCLinuxOS, UbuntuStudio, and Linux  
compatibility mode under the GA4 Solaris 10 x86.

I also have had no issues with the IDE under those since 2007r3.
