Logic used in ordering of dropped folderitems?

Does anyone know the logic of the ordering of dropped folderitems?

If I drop multiple files on my RB app the resultinging objects seem  
to be consistently ordered, in that I get the same order each time,  
but it doesn't appear to be by the order of the selection made in the  
Finder, nor alphabetically, nor by size... just trying to avoid  
having to put folderitems dropped into some kind of structure to sort  
them.
