Hi All,
OK, finally got Kubuntu installed and working in Parallels and just tested my
app.
It seems that Kubuntu doesn't have "Courier" installed so my app doesn't render
properly as it uses some system-substituted non-monospaced font.
Upon further investigation it seems that it does have a type (no pun intended)
of Courier font installed called "Courier 10 Pitch" - is this the same for all
Linux distros? If so than there's an easy workaround, otherwise...
In Delphi, I just shipped a custom-made font with my app and loaded it at
startup on the fly - that way I could be guaranteed that the font was available
on the system without having to install the font itself. Is this something that
can be done in RB?
Basically, I have to use a Courier font for my editor and need to guarantee
that one is available - either installed or not. Is there a way of doing this
in RB?
Thanks.
All the best,
Mark.
