I can tell you that Ubuntu 7.10 has courier 10 pitch, and Fedora 7 has
courier and courier 10 pitch. I'm honestly not sure how much variance
there is per distro, both as to what fonts are installed and where they
are installed, but I imagine the answer is along the lines of "a fair
bit". If you want your app to search for it, you might try looking in
/usr/share/fonts and ~/.fonts .
