Display Overlord adds methods and classes to gather video device
capabilities and capture displays, providing full screen environments
suitable for games, multimedia presentations, or kiosk applications.
While captured, Display Overlord locks out other applications and
system-wide widgets such as the Mac OS X Dock and Exposé functions.
Backgrounded application windows and desktop icons will not be
disturbed, providing a safe and user-friendly method to temporarily
change display resolutions.
Version 3.0 is no longer a C plugin, but a total re-write using
REALbasic declares, featuring clearer, more sensible, and better
encapsulated APIs. This new release also fixes numerous bugs and has
new options to disable standard Mac OS X Command-H (hide) and/or
Command-Q (quit) key combos while captured.
Display Overlord is compatible with Mac OS X Universal, Intel, and
PowerPC (Mach-O) targets. The free download includes full source code:
