Ouch -- I didn't realize it actually did that.  What it *should* do,  
if it's going to refuse to save routinely in XML format (which I  
think is reasonable), is forget the file location as soon as it opens  
-- just like opening a stationery project -- so that when you  
subsequently Save, it asks you where and in what format.  (And you  
could choose to save right over the old file in XML format, but you'd  
obviously be discouraged from doing so, which I think was the intent.)

I have rarely if ever lost any source due to an RB bug, but then, it  
could be that I'm aware of the quirks and have adopted practices that  
avoid them.
