It might not but the odds are better that you would keep maintaining it if
you received some revenue instead of none. If maintaining SuperSpriteSurface
isn't part of your core business then I think it just increases the risk for
someone using it.
The problem with a free, closed source tool is, what happens when the
maintainer goes away?
