You should always install it in its applications folder under the "Program
Files" folder.
So if your application was called "mycoolprogram.exe", you would have a folder
layout like:
C:\Program Files\Company Name\Program Name\mycoolprogram.exe
Replace the names above with logical names that reflect what you're delivering.
Lastly, you'll want to set the path to the file using the registry and the path
environment variables.
Its also important to note that you'll want to create shortcuts for the Start
Menu and the desktop.
Most installation programs will do this.
