OK I get it, in my case the app built by RB must be in the same folder
as the built plugin (in my case in .../REALbasic 5.5.x Mac OS
X/Plugins/). Now CW will launch my built app, but does not break at
any of the breakpoints in my plugin source.

Sorry, yes. The application must be in output folder (determined by
Target Settings). So, by default, the REALbasic application must be
next to your plugin's project, unless you changed where it is built
to.
