That is not going to hapen (the changes he wants I mean), the REALbasic
component model is years from reaching the maturity for what he wants. And
what he wants would take weeks or months to do in a plugin, but only hours
by linking the control to other components within the REALbasic.

The bottom line here is that users are not going to see controls in
REALbasic that act as a complete application, Open/Save data, Print, and
consist of many controls to do various of searches. (The market for such is
also slim to none since noone will want the same save format, the same
control embedding mix, etc)

After all that is what REALbasic is for (to code the solution), the plugins
are aid for it but not the total solution.

If people come from active X or .NET then dont even try to compare it, those
are more like Applications than the REALbasic controls, you can basically
embed anything in them and do anything and in a easy and quick way (This I
know as well as my left hand, as I am primarily by profession a Windows
developer). That is not the world we live in with REALbasic.

I do encourage you to continue to look for a solution and seek second
opinions but I am afraid you wont find what you seek.

Björn
