General question. Background:
A few years back (2001) I developed a couple of plug-ins, battling what was for me a kind of steep learning curve, but in the end productive. The project the plug-ins were aimed at, though, didn't take off, and I haven't done anything with plug-in development since that time.

Now, I want to attempt another plug-in, but find that a lot has changed in 4 years or so. The compiler has changed (I have CW 6.0, but can't/won't spend $400 to upgrade it) and it seems that XCode is an option now for building plug-ins. The new plug-in will only have to work with OS X.

So my questions: can I build a plug-in with CW6? Would it work when I got done? Where in the SDK (from the RB site) is any mention of XCode and Mach-O? All I can find is the old statement that you must build with CW. I've started to read and research this list again, but haven't yet found enough information to answer these questions.
Thanks,
Ben
