I found that I had looked at an old version (2003) of the plug-ins SDK; the new one does include the MachO template. Thanks.

Trying to recompile my old code with V6 CW and the new headers/structure does not seem to work. It can't find (and I can't find) the Carbon.h file with all the definitions. So I guess I'll aim my efforts at MachO and XCode. And I guess I need to upgrade to RB 5.5.4 to go with it. Thanks for the help.

So my questions: can I build a plug-in with CW6? Would it work when I
got done? Where in the SDK (from the RB site) is any mention of XCode
and Mach-O? All I can find is the old statement that you must build
with CW. I've started to read and research this list again, but haven't
yet found enough information to answer these questions.

Have you downloaded the lasted Plugins SDK? I believe there are both
MachO and XCode sample plugins. The answer to the XCode question is
that yes, you can build plugins with XCode, but they have to be MachO
for the simple reason that XCode can't produce PEF. Does that work for
you?
