REALstandardGetter?

I want to use REALstandardGetter/Setter in my plugin. This is to 
simplify things.
What I want to know is, do you need to explicitly clear the 
object/string refs which are declared with REALstandardGetter, on 
deinitialising?
Or must they be declared with REALstandardSetter for the deinit 
auto-clearing to operate.
Also, what do people here prefer to use, REALstandardGetter, or their 
own wrappers?
