The latter, yes.
If this is so, it contradict other statements being made on the
lists or in private.
Does it? Perhaps it's a difference in emphasis or degree. Lots of
the plugin SDK *does* work in the IDE, and lots of it doesn't -- it's
a pretty big API.
And why was this issue moved to the plugin list?
Because it's a discussion relevant to plugin developers (regardless
of whether they're in the beta program, though we hope they would
be...).
