I still have been unable to install Linux on my PC.

I was hoping to install Linux, so that I can port my plugin to Linux.

Is there anywhere I can take my PC for someone to install Linux on it? I can't see how Linux can be so popular when installing it requires the highest technical skills and the patience to work through tons of bugs and bad documentation. It can't be this hard to install Linux or else it would never have been this popular.

Currently, I managed to download fedora and burn it onto CDs (with enough unnecssary problems no fault of my own but I won't mention them now).

Now it turns out, that I must repartition my computer with "parted". The thing is, that I can't do this, because the screen on the linux rescue mode of the install CD, is broken. The lines display badly and there are missing lines on the screen. Unless I must do guess work with a utility I've never used before, I can't repartition the computer.

I've been told that I can't fix the screen without first installing linux. But I can't install linux without first fixing the screen.

Is there some easier way?

Something I can just download and let it install itself? Some place I can take my laptop and just have Linux installed? Anything simple?
