Computer science 101 -> Endian is bound to the processor, not to to
operating system.
So if its a box that can run Windows then you can be very sure that it
has the same endian as the Windows.
Except where the processor can be told to operate in either endian mode
by the boot loader for the OS
Power PC's can operate in either mode. Not sure about Intel's or AMD's
